In comparison to my initial thoughts and ideas I held before I conducted my regional magazine research, my ideas remain the same, and I aim to create a specific regional magazine
that will appeal to both my primary and secondary target audiences. However, in comparison to my initial idea of my primary target audience consisting of males and females aged 17-24, after analysing different regional magazines in detail I discovered that many regional magazines are aimed at older adults, which may make it quite difficult for me to appeal to a more youthful audience. Therefore, this is why I have altered my primary target audience to be males and females aged 30 - 45. Whilst this is a significantly older target audience than my original idea for my primary target audience, it means that I am ensuring that I am following genre conventions for regional magazines. My secondary target audience remains to be older males and females living outside of Cornwall, but with an interest in the region.
Good ideas Zoe - how are you planning to target the slightly younger age group? Most regional magazines are aimed at 30 upwards.
